Hello everyone. Wow I am just filled with creativity this month. Good thing since it is Officially Craft Month. well that is what my craft store tells me lol.

Its craft month every month for me! hahahahah

Today I finally decided to paint a wall with chalkboard paint like the picture below. I am so excited to have a wall for all my ideas and many other things. I think I will but a mail organizer, calendar and little shelves for some knick nacks. I can let my friends write on it if when they come by lol.
I think it is a great fun idea.
I am so glad I stumbled across this blog for the idea. Woohoo! I am such a crafty nerd but my place will look so cute when I am all finished with remodeling.

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful day. I just wanted to share this with my readers. I love this idea and I think this will be perfect for my apartment. This idea will also match the small wall art I posted previously. The great part about this is I can make it as big as I want. I need to cover a living room wall and I think this will be a inexpensive way to make my wall so cool and wonderful to look at. I am hoping this will also inspire my creativity.

Hey there folks I just wanted to stop in and say hello :) I have been working on decorating my apartment. I have had the same look for about 5 years now and I was ready for a change. I am still working on 3 walls but I have made some good changes. I even shopped in my own apartment. I changed some pictures around and it looks so different and cool now. I also designed a really cool wall paper. I call it wall paper because I used scrapbook paper lol. I found this really cool paper and decided to make wall paper. I used 24 sheets of paper a stencil and acrylic paint. It turned out really cool. I wish I could do another wall but it might be to much. I still have work to do on the 3 walls in my living room and hopefully soon I will figure out what to do with them. I am really struggling with the look I want. I want a nature look but it is hard to decide on a design. I have so many ideas and it is hard to choose lol. Below I have attached pictures of my design. OH and I added two mirrors from the dollar store that added a good accent. Mirrors are good for adding depth to a small space.
Comment below and tell me what you think about my design.

"The days are finally beginning to grow longer - and with that comes the first stirrings of new life - the glimmer of what is to come in the Spring . Definitely something to celebrate . Think these artists have taken the colors of Spring and created such beauty ."

Here is a collection that I made last week. I picked red because Garnet is January's birthstone. I also picked some hearts for the upcoming holiday Valentine's Day

Hello everyone! Gosh I have been so busy during the holidays that I have not been able to finish my upcoming article on photographing your jewelry. I have been wanting to write this article for about 4 months now. Things have slowed down a bit so hopefully soon I will have all my research done and get my article posted. In the mean time here are a few links for information about photographing your jewelry. I don't use a professional camera but I hope to make my pictures look like they came from a studio shoot. :) I find that natural light is best. If natural light is not convenient for you then use a light box\ or photo tent. Ok so my goal is to have the article posted in one week. toodles! The pictures below are just a few things I made recently. I hope everyone has a GREAT NEW YEAR!!!!! Thanks for reading.

About Me

My Photo
Fot Worth, Texas, United States
I am just a person trying to find my way in this crazy world.I have been doing graphic art since around 2000 and have many digital art pieces. I moved on to painting in 2006 as I wanted to feel more emotion with my art. I am an artist who loves making things with my hands. I started painting with oils in the middle of 2006. I occasionally dabble in acrylic. I have sold a few paintings at art festivals and hopefully sell many more! I started teaching easy to do acrylic paintings called "Social Artworking" The classes are a lot of fun. I started making jewelry in 2007 and I love it. I have sold many pieces in small festivals. I have an online store, please see the links below for all my social media and online store links. http://www.shannonschow.artfire.com In 2011 I started writing articles. I have only published a few on my blog and Hub Pages and many other social networks. I enjoy researching about new art mediums or new jewelry techniques and blogging about what I find. http://www.shannonschow.artfire.com Twitter @shannonschow Facebook : Jewelry by Shannon Schow
